Thonet opened first concept store in Amsterdam
Inspiring environment in IJburg
From May 15th, Thonet opens her new concept store in the Netherlands. The new location in the architecturally interesting IJburg in the east of Amsterdam provides the right backdrop for exhibitions around residential and commercial projects. In the 400 square meter space except Thonet is also the walls and floor specialist Senso located. The showroom concept is the result of close collaboration between the two companies, which allows an inspiring environment for their products have created.
The new showroom will be showing the current Thonet furniture – including the new secretary S 1200, floor lamp LUM 2.0 (a first at the Milan Furniture Fair) and the modern conference table system S 8000 by Hadi Teherani – alongside classics including the Bauhaus time, such as office S 285 by Marcel Breuer and cantilever chair S 533 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
The Concept Gallery gives architects, dealers and end users a good impression of the versatile collection of Thonet. In addition, visitors can go there for advice on the furniture and related services. The Dutch Thonet dealers are actively involved in the Concept Gallery, for financial and logistical handling of orders placed running through them, emphasizes the company.
