SEEN textile is the difference between visible and non-visible
Retro Reflective Materials
Wearing a reflective jacket or gadgets when you ride your bike or walk the dog after sunset, increases your visibility almost ten times. Marlies Schets experimented with reflective yarns and textiles and designed various safety solutions that prove their value when night falls.
SEEN is a series of wearable’s – comprised of a scarf, backpack and bikelock – made from a new kind of fabric. The first is a woven fabric that contains different colors of cotton yarn and a retro reflective yarn, creating the non-visible yet reflective effect.
The fading pattern creates movement in the textile itself. The other fabric is a laser-cut textile, which is placed on top of a reflective fabric. During the day you won’t notice the integrated reflective materials, but when it catches artificial light, it shines back brightly. Safety and style combined so you will not be overseen.
