The iPad has exactly five book chapters with work of the painter and five chapters following the work of Ven Gogh. You can switch between those chapters by swiping left or right. Navigate to the bottom and you will see the following page within a chapter. The work is by far the largest section and contains 89 pages of works by the painter. The chapter “Van Gogh for the masses” follows with 18 pages and “The Man” with 16. It’s not new that you can chooses between articles by horizontal swipes to go to the next page within the same article, but new is.. the structure that is so, clearly explained in the TOC. There you can see in each chapter how many pages it’s consist. a Big plus for this app, despite the large amount of information, it’s remains manageable.
Amazingly, all principles and pages work just as well in portrait or landscape position on the iPad. There is also the possibility of enlarging some of the photographs. Video is also availeble compleet with links to other works, performances or texts. The texts are cut into short paragraphs from 5 to 10 lines, written in a traditional book-like font and accompanied by quotes and pictures.
Van Gogh’s Dream is full of images and perspectives and because of the great interface, the app keeps a calm and clear look at the huge amount of information that comes along about the painter and his work. Van Gogh’s Dream is there for one of the most thematic and reference books on the iPad available at the moment. This app is not for free as you can Imagen, for this quality.
