Black Desert House of Oller & Pejic Architecture
Darkened steel in contrast to the harsh desert sun
Right in the Joshua Tree National Park in California, and located only 30 minutes from Palm Springs, you will find this love child of Marc Atlan Design and Oller & Pejic Architects. The Black Desert house is a special, almost stealth-like villa and built with materials such as quartz and darkened steel. The lines are very modern, angular and minimalist, but quite unremarkable by the anthracite color.
Built around an open central courtyard, the rear of the residence opens out to a sheltered patio and pool area. The interior is a true high-end walhalla full of hardwood and colourful accents The sunken level living area features floor to ceiling glass windows that guarantee a spectacular view of the desert landscape.
This is in our opinion one of the finer bachelor pads we’ve ever seen and it’s no surprised that the owner occasionally rents out the house for exclusive photo shoots or as a film location.
